I don't think we should completely defund the police but we should defenitely direct more money to social and community based programs.

Keep funding the same, increase funding for police training especially in higher crime rate communities and replace police with unarmed community based responders for non-violent calls

No, keep existing funding and add funding for social and community based programs.

Yes, replace police with unarmed community based responders for non-violent calls, they should have longer and more through training

 @8SFDLS6 from Iowa  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but only funding that is not essential. Such as the defunding of police militarization. Only that money should be redirected to social programs.

 @6RW5J4M from Louisiana  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but still maintain an effective and a much better-trained police force

 @842VWLK from Wisconsin  answered…2yrs2Y

yes, but only if there is still enough funding to police departments that they can still sustain themselves.

 @8H2G98J from Pennsylvania  answered…4yrs4Y

The police department should be given less funding, and have a remodeled system that requires more training and knowledge of drugs, mental illness, and other issues that are similar. Police should also not be allowed to use a gun unless completely necessary and should be charged if they wrongfully kill a person when it could be avoided

In stead of taking funding from local police, we should direct some money from the military to social and community based programs. While the police should be placed with more restirctions on gun use and training.
